Officers are registered under the New York Security Guard Act (General Business Law Article 7-A) with the NY Department of State, Division of Licensing Services, and their training is DCJS-approved. Crowd-trained and medically certified
Officers meet the New York State training minimums and are certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. They are trained to de-escalate before a situation escalates and to administer naloxone where an overdose is suspected — which matters at a late-night show more than at most posts.
Documented and verifiable
Post orders are written before the event. Patrols and attendance are confirmed with GPS and geofenced tour verification, and clients get a reporting portal login rather than a verbal account after the fact. Officers are unarmed by default; armed coverage is available only on documented request following a risk assessment.

Line control on the sidewalk, ID and ticket verification at the door, and bag checks at the pace the room can absorb. The count is held so capacity is never a guess.
During the set
Floor, barricade, stage and back-of-house posts stay in constant radio contact. Officers work the crowd for early signs of trouble, medical need, or pressure at the front, and pull people out before it becomes an incident.
Egress and street
The room is emptied in a managed flow rather than a single push, with officers on the sidewalk keeping the exit clear and moving the crowd off the block and toward transit.
Load-out, lock-up and report
The dock is covered through load-out, equipment left on site is watched overnight where booked, and you receive a written incident and coverage report rather than a verbal summary.
Officers who work the crowd, not the wall
A guard standing still at the back of the room is not security, it is decoration. Our officers are trained to read a crowd — pressure building at the barricade, someone who has stopped moving with the people around them, a disagreement two songs before it becomes a fight — and to deal with it quietly. Do you staff warehouse and converted-industrial venues in Brooklyn?
Yes. These rooms are a large share of Brooklyn’s live-music inventory and they carry specific issues — loading docks that serve as fire exits, mezzanines with blind spots, and a single street entrance feeding the whole building. Can you cover load-in and watch equipment overnight?
Yes, and for multi-day builds it is usually the more valuable half of the booking. Officers can hold the dock and street entrance through load-in, log vendors and deliveries, and stay on site overnight to watch staging, backline and production equipment between show days.
Who handles the line on the sidewalk outside the venue?
We do. On many Brooklyn blocks the queue forms on a narrow sidewalk shared with neighbouring businesses and residents, so line management is part of the security plan, not an afterthought. Officers keep the queue orderly and off the roadway, manage the entry pace so the door is not overwhelmed, and keep the path past the venue clear.
How do you manage the crowd leaving at the end of the night?
Egress is planned in advance and staged rather than opened all at once. Officers hold the exit flow at a rate the sidewalk can take, keep the doorway clear, and move the crowd off the block toward the nearest transit. For late shows this is where most incidents actually happen, so it is staffed accordingly rather than treated as the point where officers go home.
Do you work outdoor and waterfront events in Brooklyn?
Yes. Outdoor sites need a perimeter built rather than inherited, which means gate posts, fence-line patrols and a plan for the public approaches into the site. Officers cover the perimeter and entry gates through the event, and overnight equipment coverage is available between days for multi-day setups.
Can your officers work with our venue’s cameras and door access?
Yes. Officers are briefed on and operate the systems the venue already runs — house cameras, door access, and ticketing or wristband tools — and coordinate with your staff at a monitoring point where the venue has one. Dahlcore does not install, sell or service security systems; we staff and operate what you already have.
Can your officers hold and document the headcount at the door?
Yes. Officers keep a running count at entry and record it in the shift log, so you have a written record of the room rather than an estimate after the fact. The venue sets its own occupancy limit — we staff the door to the number you give us and tell you when the room is approaching it.
How far ahead should we book, and can you take a short-notice show?

Before doors, our supervisor briefs alongside your event lead, your house staff and production, so everyone is on the same channel and the escalation path is agreed rather than improvised.
