We do, and it is planned in advance rather than improvised. Officers keep the pickup zone separate from the pedestrian exit route, hold the exit flow at a rate the road and lot can take, and keep the service lanes open. On a lot-served Queens site this is the busiest part of the night.
Can you cover more than one stage or room at the same site?
Yes. Multi-stage and multi-room events are staffed with posts and a supervisor per area, all on one radio channel, so a problem in one room does not pull officers out of another. The supervisor holds the overall picture and moves people between areas as the running order shifts.
